I’ve just been informed that I have won a cash award at The Phodar Biennial in Bulgaria for a portfolio of my Maramures work! My work is on view in Pleven, Bulgaria through early June.

Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2009 goes digital
March 3, 2009For the first time, Leica has put the entry process for its annual award online and is also showcasing all of the entries on its site including the new Newcomer Award for those under 25. It’s worth checking out the hundreds of great entries from photographers I had never heard of. There is some great work being done out there! My entry can be seen here.

Selected as a Critical Mass 2008 Finalist
October 28, 2008I just learned that I have been selected as a finalist in Photo Lucida’s Critical Mass Contest. I now advance to a second round of jurying to be decided upon in about a month.
